Need a refund?

Arcade is committed to doing our part to help stop the spread, and keep our community safe. If you’ve purchased a ticket and are feeling sick, please stay home. You can quickly and easily request a refund by filling out our form.

What is the Trust Oasis?

The Trust Oasis is an outdoor, public art space located at 133 Seventh Street, in downtown Pittsburgh. It is nestled between Proper Brick Oven and Howl at the Moon, across from the Greer Cabaret Theater. It’s about four blocks (a five-minute walk) from Arcade Comedy Theater.

Why outside?

We understand that anxiety around indoor-events is still high. While the leadership team of Arcade continues to work on ways to be indoors together, safely, in the meantime we are embracing the advice of health experts: being outdoors is currently the best avenue for safely coming together. Also, we heard from YOU, our community, in a recent patron/student survey that you felt best about an outdoor venue right now, so we got to work to find one.

Why now?

Arcade has been working, re-working, and re-re-working how to open to the public since Allegheny County entered the “Green Phase,” and we were ‘legally’ permitted to do so. We’ve been cautious, learned from other organizations and businesses, and considered every possibility. We have concurrently kept a close eye on our finances, and know that our organization’s earned revenue is critical to its survival . Warmer weather right now allows us to translate our normal indoor operation to the outdoors. We want to provide the safest environment possible for our artists to return to their craft, and the opportunity for Arcade’s guests to come together for laughter, community, and comfort.

Do I have to wear a mask?

Yes, all Arcade artists, patrons, and staff are required to wear masks at all times, as per local health department recommendations.

What health and safety precautions are in place?

We’re following all state and local health and safety guidelines: masks must be worn at all times, hand sanitizer will be readily available, and patrons will be seated socially distant from each other. The stage is well over 10 feet from the nearest audience member, and the shorter show duration keeps prolonged exposure at a minimum. Please read more about our safety protocols.

I’m nervous about committing to a ticket, with so much COVID uncertainty. What is the refund policy?

Arcade is committed to doing our part to help stop the spread, and keep our community safe. We can’t do it without your help. If you have purchased a ticket, and:

  • are feeling ill
  • have come in contact with someone with COVID-19, or suspect you may have
  • traveled internationally or to any regions that remain under a ‘stay-at-home’ order
  • have any other COVID-19 related reason/concern

We urge you to please STAY HOME and stay safe! For our part, we will fully refund your ticket. That’s right, full refund, no questions asked. You may also have the opportunity to exchange your ticket to a future Arcade Oasis show, or get a link to an online stream of the show. Arcade has a responsibility to our community, our city, and all individuals during this time.

If you need to request a refund, we just ask that you fill out this form so that we can get the process started. Refunds typically take 5-10 business days and are processed via Showclix.

Will the events be secure?

Yes, our staff is prepared to ensure a safe, comfortable experience for patrons and students. We are eager to return to our Cultural District home.

What is the class and show schedule?

You can find all of the latest information about outdoor classes and shows on our Arcade at the Oasis main page.

Can I purchase a walk-up ticket?

Yes, if there are seats available. While we encourage contactless pre-purchasing of tickets online in advance; we will assist walk-ups with purchasing a ticket online or on their own smartphone. CASH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED at this time at the Arcade Oasis. Online credit card purchases only.

Is there BYOB?

At the moment, we aren’t allowing food or alcoholic beverages in the space. Guests are allowed to bring water or bottled soft drinks.

Will Arcade still have online content?

Yes, we are committed to continuing to provide online entertainment and education in addition to our small outdoor events. Please click here to see our schedule of online shows and classes. Keep checking back for more updates as online shows are added all of the time. Certain Arcade at the Oasis events may be streamed live, more details to come.

What will classes be like?

Classes are going to work differently than our normal 8-week Academy sessions. We are adjusting curriculum to account for social distancing, and making all classes single purchase drop-in, for now. No long-term commitment. We will have a whole webpage dedicated to Arcade Academy at the Oasis coming soon…

Will there be a bathroom available?

Due to staffing constraints, we can not safely provide public restrooms at this time.

What happens if there is bad weather?

Please plan accordingly for outdoor shows (bring sunscreen! Wear layers! Carry an umbrella!). As the weather gets colder, our shows will feature outdoor heaters, and on evenings when there is a light sprinkle we will have extra umbrellas at your table. However, if it is not possible or unsafe to perform, we will cancel and exchange/refund all tickets. Ticketholders will be notified via email in the event of a cancellation up to 90 minutes before the scheduled start of the show.

Are you ever going back inside at 943 Liberty Ave?

We fully intend to return to doing shows and having Academy classes at 943 Liberty Avenue, when both the community and leadership at Arcade feel safer doing so. We will continue to talk to and survey our patrons and students, and stay up-to-date with health expert recommendations and local health trends. Some smaller Arcade events may be happening inside, on a case-by-case basis.

So Arcade is empty — can I rent it?

Maybe! We will consider rentals on a case-by-case basis, in accordance with local health and safety guidelines. If you would like to know more about rentals please email Arcade General Manager Jason Clark.

I’ve read through all of this: what are you going to do if things change or there is cause for concern?

If things change, we can as well. None of this is set in stone: it is a blueprint and guideline to slowly, safely return to in-person events that fulfill our mission. Our best chance for success is with a willingness to adapt, learn, and adjust everything we do with the safety of our community first and foremost.
