Will the crew save an endangered civilization from destruction? Will the curmudgeonly doctor finally find love? Will the chief engineer’s surprise birthday party be a success? Will an alien probe threaten to destroy the earth unless the crew can travel back to the mid 1990’s to capture two humpback whales and bring them to the future to communicate with the probe?
