Long Form Since 2012
Well Known Strangers
Well Known Strangers is a long-form improv team that's been around and performing in the Pittsburgh comedy scene since 2012. The original members of WKS were cast from Harold House Team auditions run by Steel City Improv Theater. After retiring as a SCIT House Team in 2013, the troupe began performing as an independent team. Though the Strangers cast has seen a few different iterations, the outrageous fun and cohesive quality of their performances remains constant. Over the years, WKS has developed shows around a variety of improv forms, including Close Quarters, Trigger Happy, Slacker, and Evente, as well as forms they created like Woulda Coulda Shoulda.
Currently you can see them perform in The Arcade List and at Brillobox on first Thursdays as the hosts of the Pittsburgh Improv Jam, the longest running improv jam in the city.
