Arcade Academy presents
2-day mini-camps exploring the world of improv comedy
Just announced: Arcade is moving its summer kids’ camps online!
Our online learning camp will engage kids in an exploration of the art of improv comedy, from their own home! Our instructors will help campers build stories and scenes together, develop their own creative voice, and feel and show self-confidence both in virtual learning settings and in person. Arcade’s online camp welcomes kids of all experience levels and personality types to activate their imaginations as our instructors guide them through improv games and exercises that teach listening skills, creativity, teamwork, and confidence.
Price: $100, early bird pricing $75 through June 30
Age Limit: 5-14 yrs old, kids will be broken into smaller age groups where possible
Saturday and Sunday
Perfect for ages 5-14 years old
Participants will need access to a computer, tablet, or mobile device with a stable internet connection. The workshop will be conducted over Zoom, which requires creating a free account.
Changes to the Weekend Comedy Camps
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Arcade Comedy Theater has had to cancel or postpone all in-person classes and workshops since March 2020 — which includes our June and July weekend comedy camps. We apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment this causes families, and all of us at Arcade look forward to being able to offer them again in the future.
At this time, we are still offering the in-person Weekend Kids Comedy Camp for Teens in August.
Saturday and Sunday
Group A: ages 12-17
A unique and engaging weekend camp that teaches confidence, collaboration and humor through improv comedy. Over the course of two days, students will enjoy lessons on building a story collaboratively, developing an original voice and giving their ideas life on stage.
Every camp features different activities and exercises tailored to each age group and concludes with a live performance for family and friends!
Registration fee: $125 per child
Class size: max 12 children

What to Bring:
We recommend that everyone “dresses to improvise” everyday. We will be dancing, running, jumping, groovin’ and movin’ so campers should wear whatever allows them to be active.
Campers should also bring:
- Water bottle
- Notebook and pen
- A light snack
- Their imagination
Snacks & Allergy Information
During the four hour class we will break for a light snack brought from home. If your child has any allergies or special needs please email the Academy Director. We will do our best to accommodate your child’s needs and make sure everyone has an educational, safe, and fun time at the Arcade!
