Brand new comedy showcases

Arcade Comedy Theater is celebrating Women’s History Month with its mission statement in mind: inspiring joy and nurturing community-building by connecting artists and audiences with the dynamic artform of comedy. Starting March 11 and spanning the entire month, Arcade will be highlighting female and female-aligned producers and artists in stand-up comedy, improv, and variety shows.

Meet the producers:
Arcade Comedy Theater’s Celebration of Women in Comedy shows are co-produced alongside local artists Mary Quick, Jocelyn Hillen, Liz Labacz, Abby Fudor, Robin Hitchcock, Raina Deerwater, Alexa Schwartz, Subhah Agarwal, and Nia Johnson.

  • Tickets for each show are $15-18 per person, $5 off for college students
  • Shows appropriate for ages 16 & up
  • All shows BYOB for guests 21+
  • Runtime approx 75 minutes per show

Programming

Comedian Subhah Agarwal

March 11 at 7:30PM & 9:30PM

Arcade welcomes back the immensely talented Subhah Agarwal for two performances on Saturday March 11 as a highlight of the theater’s Women’s History Month celebration.

Subhah has written for Netflix’s “Arsenio! Live,” “The Jim Jefferies Show”on Comedy Central, “Plan B” movie on Hulu, and “Comedy Knockout” on TruTv, amongst others. You can also catch her jokes live at stand up comedy clubs across the country. If you don’t want to leave your couch, you can stream her debut album “Dog Show” released with Blonde Medicine Records. You can see her late night debut on NBC’s “A Little Late With Lilly Singh.” She also had a supporting lead role in the upcoming movie “Plan B,” appeared on season three of HBO’s “Westworld”, “General Hospital,” on TruTv’s sketch comedy “Friends of the People”, and as herself on MTV2, Comedy Central, and Gotham Comedy Live.

Fondue for Two

On a remote island off the coast of Ireland, Alex is devastated when her buddy Raina suddenly puts an end to their lifelong friendship. With help from Date Night and Hot Dog Acessories, Alex sets out to repair the damaged relationship by any means necessary. However, as Raina’s resolve only strengthens, she soon delivers an ultimatum that leads to shocking consequences. Join us St. Patrick’s day for a very silly very Irish improv show that may or may not have anything to do with the Oscar nominated film The Banshees of Inisherin.

Lez be honest, we love a good story. LGBTQ+ storytellers will get personal in this interactive show where one lucky audience member will get a brand new dating profile written by the cast! produced by Alexa Schwartz.

Join the ladies in celebrating 1 fantastic year of saying the b word! What started as a women’s history month special feature has turned into a year long celebration of funny ladies in Pittsburgh and history! Grab a party hat and celebrate with us!Our 1 year anniversary show will celebrate how far women have come since they couldn’t have their own bank accounts (or pockets) by diving into the history of women comedians. Featuring a cast of talented comedy queens!!Hosted and produced by Jocelyn Hillen-Newham & Mary Quick

Frankly Scarlett: All Made Up

Frankly Scarlett (Abby Fudor, Robin Hitchcock, and Liz Labacz) are celebrating 11 years as a comedy trio with a fun and interactive night of improv! Check out this mix of short-form games and long-form scenes, featuring the cast of Frankly Scarlett alongside special guests from around Pittsburgh.
